Celebrate summer !

Let's all celebrate summer!!!
To put you all in a cheerful mood for the coming week here's a  fun project :
A super simple and colourful summer wreath.
First, get yourself some green glossy leaves, be it magnolia or laurel leaves.

Then, paint the leaves all kind of different and cheerful bright colours and let them dry.
I used small tester pots which cost practically nothing, and which I had still left over from Easter egg decorating .
Then take a wreath
.I re- used an old Christmas wreath and took the Christmas decorations  ( red berries ) off.
Glue-gun the coloured leaves all around on the wreath....

Add a nice coloured ribbon..and you're done!
You can hang your wreath on the front door ..

Or use it in a colourful table display- which I actually like best.
School's out for summer!!

Now I am going to run around barefoot in the park :-).
Have a fabulous week , whatever you're doing!
XOXO
Bea

  2. Dearest Bea,

You sound so bubbly; like the happy colours you show us here! Great idea for those magnolia leaves. Those I always spray paint golden for Christmas time but this idea is genial; as usual coming from you.

    Lots of love,

    Mariette
